Grilled Cheese with Aged Cheddar, Sliced Apple and Galloping Cows Red Pepper Jelly

There is something so satisfying about a grilled cheese sandwich. Buttery crisp warm bread, melty gooey cheese. The combination is near perfection. INGREDIENTS

8 slices of multigrain bread
4 Tbs Galloping Cows Red Pepper Jelly
1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
8 square slices of good quality aged cheddar cheese
2 tbs unsalted butter – used separately

PREPARATION

Step 1
Spread 1 tablespoon of Galloping Cows Red Pepper Jelly on four slices of multigrain bread. Top each with 5-6 slices of apple. Add two slices of aged cheddar cheese to each sandwich. Top with remaining four slices of bread. Evenly spread 1 tablespoon of butter on top of each sandwich.

Step 2
Melt remaining butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan and grill until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. If the cheese still needs some time to melt, place a lid on top of the pan while cooking.

Step 3
Slice and serve
